A short but heated fight breaks out on the abandoned platform between the heroes and the bounty hunter Alden Haught and his squad of combat robots. The crew makes short work of the robots and quickly subdue the bounty hunter. They rescue Alex and prepare to depart when a contingent of Starpoint Security officers arrive and apprehend Haught as well as the crew of the Shangri-La.
Back on Nyneve, the team is faced with possible detainment while Starpoint authorities sort out the mess surrounding the captain’s bounty and the renegade hunter. Then through the help of an old contact of the captain’s, a letnev civil representative named Gon Andrath is able to have the crew released using threats of wrongful apprehension. With the crew out of jail and reunited with the captain, they prepare to leave Starpoint, but not before taking on one additional crew member: Mitchell’s daughter, Alex.
The Shangri-La makes its way to the Archon system, but not before making several stops along the way. They first came to Coorneeq to deliver several loads of cargo for an easy but profitable payout. The crew then delivered a strange package of contraband to the Arborec Homeworld of Nestphar. Finally, the Shangri-La visited the Jorund System and docked with one of the saar domestic fleets. There they unraveled a mystery surrounding a lost saar religious figure and tragic story of love and escape. They made a friend of Commander Toga of the Fleet Enforcers, over helping Captain Yanta reclaim his prize.
Finally after over a week of hoping in and out of jump space, the crew finally arrived at Archon Ren, and hopefully to answers behind the mysterious murder and framing of Captain Mitchell.
